Statement by the Press Secretary
President Clinton and Vice President Gore had a very cordial and exciting meeting with Dr. Joao Havelange, Presdient of the Federation International de Foodball Association (FIFA) this morning. The meeting lasted 15 minutes.
The President thanked Dr. Havelange for his role in bringing the
World Cup to the United States and conveyed his personal
excitment and utmost support for the 1994 tournamnet.
