PRESIDENT CLINTON NOMINATES GREGORY MONETA SLEET AS THE U.S. ATTORNEY FOR THE DISTRICT OF DELAWARE
The President today nominated Gregory Moneta Sleet as the United States Attorney for the District of Delaware.
"Gregory Moneta Sleet's extensive legal background and experience in the State of Delaware make him an excellent choice for this most important judicial position," the President said.
Mr. Sleet is currently the In-House Counsel to Hercules Incorporated, handling a wide variety of general commercial law issues. Prior to taking that position, he was the Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice for the State of Delaware. He had also been an Associate with the firm Harper and Paul and a partner in the law firm of Sleet and Farrell.
Mr. Sleet graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia in 1973 and received a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1976.
