WASHINGTON -- Vice President Al Gore will deliver a speech on reinventing government, outlining a new role for federal executives and challenging them to adopt leadership models of management. The address will take place at 10 AM (EST) Tuesday, March 29, 1994, at Georgetown University.
The speech, titled "The New Job of the Federal Executive," will highlight the changing roles for employees in the federal government. He will address the issue of restoring trust in the federal government by adopting some of the management theories that businesses use so successfully and by making customer service a number one priority.
