                    STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
     VISIT TO WASHINGTON BY PRIME MINISTER YITZHAK RABIN OF ISRAEL

The President will meet with Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin of Israel at the White House on March 16. The two leaders will discuss the Middle East peace process and bilateral issues, as well as regional and global developments. The President is looking forward to continuing our close consultations with Israel to help achieve the goal of a comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East.
