The President has invited Prime Minister Albert Reynolds of Ireland to the White House on March 17. In the morning, the Taoiseach will present the President a traditional bowl of shamrocks to mark St. Patrick's Day. That evening, the President will honor the Taoiseach and Mrs. Reynolds at a celebration of Ireland at the White House. The President looks forward to reviewing with the Taoiseach the full range of issues on which our two countries cooperate so closely, in particular the continuing efforts of the Prime Ministers of Ireland and the United Kingdom to bring peace to Northern Ireland.
