WHAT IS AVAILABLE -- AND HOW?

Information on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is available both electronically, in print and in CD-ROM. Please note that some information varies at each site and can include daily updates from the White House, press releases and briefings, background information, and reports.

As additional documents and retrieval sources become available, we will update this factsheet.

II. RETRIEVING AN ELECTRONIC VERSION -- FOR A FEE

The NAFTA documents may also be retrieved for a fee from several commercial services. These services are listed here for informational purposes only, and not to recommend or promote any of the services.

A - CD-ROM

Some information on NAFTA, including the full-text of the 1992 agreement and various reports, is available for archive and research purposes on the National Trade Data Bank (NTB-DB) and the National Economic, Social and Environmental Data Bank (NESE-DB) CD-ROMs produced by the Dept. of Commerce.

There is a fee charged for each disk.

        We anticipate that the NAFTA documents will also be 
        available on the EBB as they are issued.  EBB subscribers may 
        obtain the complete report for less than $5.00.  Nonsubscribers 
        may subscribe for $35 and receive full access to the report for 
        no additional charge and obtain access to over 2,000 files covering 
        current economic and business news issues by the U.S. Government.

Currently there are no printed versions available at no charge.
